Gorgeous. I love the way the clouds on the horizon line mimic the structure out there (is that a line of rocks.. land?)

Thanks CyberCoyote.
The body of water is the Indian River Lagoon. It is part of the Intra-Coastal Waterway. The whole strip of land that becomes the barrier island is called Cape Canaveral. So the ocean is just across that land. It ranges from about 3/4 mile to less than 200 yards wide at places. |

Ah! My father lives down that way (Cocoa), always figured there had to be some stunning nature displays around him. Now that you described where it is I know exactly what I'm looking at (which doesn't make it any less impressive, of course)

Cocoa is just up the road from here.
There are a couple of National Wildlife Refuges here. Merritt Island is unbelieveable in the winter time and Pelican Island at St. Sebastian by the Sea was the first federal wildlife sanctuary. You wouldn'trecognize Sebastian anymore, Dawg. Still a nice place, though! |

Whoa! That's a sunrise alright... beautifully done. Love the reds and blues... certainly not your typical orangesunrise!
