Hi All,
Went out to run some errands. I had the K10 with Tamron SP 80-200/2.8 and the P F 1.7x AFA. I spotted this young GBH looking for dinner at the lake near the hospital. ![]() I took about 50 shots, and left get something done, and it was still there when I drove off. I stopped to see if it was still there about 1 1/2 hours later and was surprised to see it stll in the same place (must be a good spot). I played with exposures, EV comp, apertures, tried using a flash (but it was a bit too far away), kept moving around to get a different background from the light coming off the water, and kept shooting as the sun got lower in the sky and set behind it. These are some of the better ones. All shot in jpeg and handheld. They are all processed, to different degrees and aren't in chronological order. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I like the last one the best -- too bad it had turned its head away a bit. I'd be interested to know what you think. . . Scott |

I like the first one, personally. The highlighting by the sun is awesome and you preserved the detail with completely losing the backround!

First and last are my favorites. The next to last one is so funny and I'm glad you posted it. All of them are outstanding.

Hi Driver, Tom, and Harriet,
Thanks for taking a look, and for the input. This was a neat oppotunity to try something different. Scott |

Love this series... but I am a sucker for landscapes and sunsets. Keep them coming!

Making the best of an opportunity, Scott. All very nice, but #1 is my favourite too.
I'd like to see you post in the bragging thread, I'm curious of your lens collection. Kjell |

I see it as a toss-up between 4 and 5 - I really like the background and composition of 4 best, in spite of the frizzled look of the bird rufflingits feathers. They both convey the mood well.
