I had seen this lens mentioned around the web but the fervor for them here convinced me to try one. I figured what the heck, for a small sum I could try macro with a true macro lens and see if I like it.
I got one from Trader Jim's on the bay. Took me a little bit to come to grips with the manual focus/focus trap stuff but wow, what a sharp lens! K100D f11 1/100s |

d3,
you're going to have a love affair with this lens. it's superb and for what you paid for it the captures rival any modern macro lens. and welcome to the dark side of dslr.. ie ![]() roy |

I'm already in love with it. Just looking through the viewfinder the first time I realized I was dealing with a different animal!

It is a truly wonderful lens and, as you said, about as highly regarded as any on this forum. You are already turning out wonderful results, I really like the first shot. Whereabout in Central FL are you?

Hey, Tim.
Thanks for the comments. I live in Palm Baybut these were shot in Canada a couple of weeks ago. I've never been directly to Lake Placid but have been around Okeechobee some. |

What lovely pictures - makes me jealous and really wanting to upgrade my macro lens. Macro is such frustrating fun!
