Okay, this is driving me crazy. Is there a trick to getting the Sigma 20-80 and/or Tamron 70-300 out of macro mode? The only way I find is to switch the lens to manual mode, move the focus out of macro area and flip the switch.
Thanks, Patty |

Can't speak for the Tamron 70-200, but on my Sigma 70-200, I have to do the same.

You don't have to go to manual mode with the 70-300 just focus on something far away, then you can flip the switch without any problem.
(The switch is only helping to focus faster, just focus on something farther away with the switch on then of, and you'll notice that the roundtrip when it doesn't find the focus right away will take longer) Ronny |

No no,Patty. I think it's much more serious than that. I think you should mail those to me right away and let me check them out for you!:G

Thanks, Jay, Ronny and John.
I must be sometimes doing the focusing thing and not realizing it because a few times yesterday (before reading this note about focusing far out) it would let me switch it. On the 70-300 that is. I found I mostly used the 18-55 except when trying to get an egret across the waterway. Then, switched to the 70-300. Well now, John,if I mailed them to you, how soon would I get them back? I suspect I might be waiting a long time for you to check them out for me. But, thanks for offering.:-) Patty |
