Hi Daniel,
Let me mirror Roy's sentiments and perspective. It's great that you can share the view through your viewfinder here. Scott |

Those are great, and seeing buildings that are more than 200 years old just blows me away.

Impressing presentation of impressing buildings. My wife, who doesn't care that much for photography but the more for old castles and things, agrees on my statement.
Thanks a lot for posting and sharing your trip and photos with us, Daniel. But US laddies and lasses, come over to Europe some day. There are lots and lots of buildings older than 200 years around here. Hmm, maybe a thread on that... Kjell |

i grew up in a place that had 200 year old buildings. we had a favorite sandwich shop in the vieux carre that had a historical marker on the bar. it was the main slave auction block from the 17-1800s. guess it finally found a useful use.

I also have enjoyed seeing the shots of your vacation Daniel. I really like the night time castle shot, in fact, I think that is my favorite one of all the images you have posted from this trip.

Tim, How about this one? Here is a pict of the part of the Trafalgar Tour group. All of us must have put on weight. I am referring to the French food. Daniel |

You are right. If you look at No.2 night shot closely (left), there were a lot of people sitting there and staring at the palaces for hours. The French tourist industry or the French people really know how to amplify the effect. Daniel |

You know what: there must be over 30 very worthwhile structures or bldg along River Siene (alone) each would require me 2 hours each to take pict of. That was just one little small area of France , not even the rest (Rome , Tuscany, Vetican, Praque, Budapest, Vienna........). I do agree with what you said This is the building I definitely needs to explore: Notre Dame Paris I did this pict during my cruise-by shooting (different from drive-by shooting) on the first day of the trip. And certainly I was overwhelmed. On the first day I knew that I would have an abundance of great architectural shots ![]() Rest of the France's pict starts at http://www.pbase.com/danieltong/image/79609270/original Click next for the (around 20) pict In Toronto I would have a lot more trouble finding worthwhile subject to photo Daniel, Toronto |
