On The way home from the bone cracker I stopped off at the Cemetary where my Great Grandparents and my Grandparents are buried. Then passed by a small creek. Hope you like them.

Thank you Kjell. Getting there early is the key...Need the right light. It is such a peaceful place well off the beaten path!

My comments exactly, you have created a mood with those images that is quite extraordinary. Well done.

Your cemetary pictures are really incredible - talk about using/taking advantage ofthe light! Very powerful and moving. You shouldn't have posted the stream pictures in the same thread - they are very nice (my kind of place, for sure) but look ratherho-hum after your first two dynamic pictures.

Well done Dawg. Number 2 is particularly nice. Color, light, composition are all good.

Thank you Ira. I truly appreciate any and all comments on my photos. I tried very hard on those two to set up the shot. Most times I'm just a snapshooter and just look at something and take the photo. The light here caught my eye as I was walking back to my truck to leave. I walked around and around both to line up the shots. Only regret is no tripod was with me. Both were shot with my Converted Yashica/Contax mount Vivitar series 1 70-210 lens. Shot at 210mm-f/5.6-1/125-ISO 100. Had to play with the shutter speed a little as the flowers highlights would wash out at a slower shutter speed or the whole scene would be too dark at a faster one.

Point well taken Harriet. I just posted these in a very big hurry as I was running late to get to work.

I'd say I've been busy but that wouldn't be completely truthful. I still take lots of photos, and love my K100D, but don't post as much as I used to. I lurk a lot over at dpr and post in the newbie contests. I'll take the blame, I've converted a few others, and they are very happy too.

Been missing you and wondered if you might just have gotten burned out on the forums.
