Default What a difference (half a) stop makes!

Yesterday my latest aquisition arrived in the mail. Having read so much about "the Holy Trinity" and "pixie dust" I could't resist when this passed under my nose at the right price.
In spite of all I have read, I must say I was surprised of how small it is!
The FA 77mm f1.8 Limited in the middle, to the left the bigger cousin A* 85mm f1.4 from which the 77mm was derivated (the same optical formula) and for comparison the FA 35mm f2 (same size as the FA 50mm and 28mm) to the right.
I do wish Pentax would return to the "small but still top notch" ideology!

Oooh, have fun with your new "toy."

I know what you mean about loving the small(ish), high quality lenses - last week I was camping in the Arizona desert and put the FA31 on the K1 for some night photography - while the photos caught people at lousy times, the quality was just awesome. I need to quit shooting with zooms and work more with my lovely primes again.
