Item exactly as described. they wouldn't last minutes on Ebay if he actually posted an unboxing picture or two. Ridiculous. It's like I hopped into a DeLorean and drove to B&H and picked it up.

I don't know if these pics convey a sense of scale, but this thing is MONSTROUS. IMPOSSIBLE to hand-hold, and I'm no 'pussy.'
Weighs a ton and within seconds you get these low amplitude shakes that worsen as time passes. Macro is strictly tripod-only. In this pic, the integrated lens hood is retracted. Loke the limited lenses, it has a soft felt interior. The finish is nice and shiny and I prefer it to the limited lenses. This lens has the contacts to make it K-A, so all the program modes work. Sweet. Spot metering only though. |

Well considering the Pentax-M 100mm f/4 Macro, well used, can fetch $175 usually, I think this is not too bad. It really is brand new and there is nothing close at it's price point.
I played around and you really need f/11+ to get good DOF. Impossible handheld though. Size comparison |

it does work handheld. Although I have to admit that lately I mostly use an external flash. Ronny ![]() Camera Pentax K10D Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/350) Aperture: f/6.7 Focal Length: 100 mm ISO Speed: 100 Exposure Bias: -1/2 EV Flash did not fire |
