I agree with Roy here. I can't count the time I've dropped out of AF and used the manual focus on my AF lens because the AF just won't cut it. Main reason for me to dump my Kodak 6490 and go DSLR is because the all AF point and shoot would Hunt and hunt and hunt and finally lock focus on something other than what I was trying to focus on. Most times now even with AF lenses I drop out of AF and manually focus...This way you get it the first time and don't have to wait for the $#%^&&*^^%$$## AF to stop it's $#$%%$#$#$$%^^%$ Hunting...Just my Nickel's worth!

Dawg,
I was waiting for the DA* 300 last year and when it didn't look like it was going to be released anytime soon, got the 100-300. It is a really fine lens and focuses fast on the K10. Glad I did. The Bigma I am still coming to grips with. I think it will be fine, though. I am contemplating something wider like the Sigma 10-20 but the funds aren't there at the moment. This is still cheaper than bass fishing...LOL! But the brand arguments are just as bad:-)...LOL The other thing I have to be careful is developing BBA...Bag buying addiction. They are the coolest things! |
