My seven year old found this June bug/beetle on the beach behind our house and came to get me to photograph it. These are the best of about thirty shots. I could not get enough DOF to photograph it from the front but the many of the side shots came out clear. Again, this is using the Sigma 28-80 1:2 macro lens.

DOF becomes a real issue the closer you get and the size of the June Bug becomes a problem unless you use a tripod and the bug is very still.
