I was trying out our new100-300mm Sigma lens. Struggling a bit with the manual focussing....

180mm 20s F8.0 ISO 200

The lighthouse on South Head.

300mm 8s F6.7 ISO 800

Is it the higher ISO that makes this one very grainy?

An effort at photographing the moon - found this very tricky....

300mm 1/350s F4 ISO 200 - heavily cropped

Just seen Crashman's moon on the other post! Better keep practising....

Anyone know how to add more than 1 picture to a single post?

To add more than one image you have to upload them to somewhere on the web (ie. photobucket) then use the code [ IMG ] Your URL of the image here [ / IMG] (just get rid of the space when you do it!)Nice shots, I like the second and the moon.

Very nice shots, I like both the first one and the moon shot the best. I want to try some moon shots but thus far I have been waiting to get a tripod. I did not realize you could get that much detail with an exposure short enough to handhold. I will have to try it now. Thanks for sharing.
