My little girl had a soccer game tonite & couldn't help looking up at the clouds with the approaching sunset. I had my promaster 70-300 af on for the game so luckily I could set it back a bit. The 1st is at 100mm f8 iso400 & 1/750. What can I do better next time?? Besides a better lens:G

Good shots Ron.My best sunsets have always turned out when I underexpose the shot by a half-step to one step. It deepens the colors and makes them richer. The reds and oranges in the first shot might have been a bit deeper at a half-step under, but it's still a good shot.

A very good first post! Looks like a 19th century painting, very dramatic.

thanks guys! Thanks jhacker ...another thing that I've learned from here! Darren, I really like the 2nd one ... the rays really add to the composition which was what I was hoping for with mine but the cloud was too solid & sun too low. Thanks for the comments!
