Great! But is that the SDHC compatibility the only feature in this new firmware?

There is more in it for the DS I saw, but, they forgot to fill in the details for the DL. That one goes from 1.00 to 1.02 so there must be more.....

DL2 here - is it worth getting the update, and can I kill my camera by using it?

Don't know if it is worth getting the upgrade for the DL2, I have a DL. But yes, you can kill the camera, you have to wait for the camera to complete the proces before you turn it of, heard that even after the message telling you that the update is ok, you have to wait for the light to stop before turning the camera off. Don't know where I saw it, but a thing to keep in mind.

chances are slim if you follow the instuctions. if you don't have an ac adapter be sure to use fresh batteries. my DS took about 2 minutes.

My golden rule is never to update firmware unless there's a need to - this version merely adds support for SDHC which I don't need at the moment, so I'm sticking with *stDS v2.

Sounds good Catbells- I am sorely tempted to update, because it is there, but I use 1Gb cards and have some 2Gb cards on order, so 4Gb+ cards are not my thing.

Think I will stick with the camera as is for now.
