Hi everyone, I got my husbands old pentax A 1:2 50 mm lens out and tried it on the DL, here's what i came up with (our pet starlings) - also, am wanting a telephoto lens or extension tubes (for pet portraits) , which ever would fit my budget- or do I need telephoto with the 18 - 55 lens and this one of my husbands?

Thanks for tolerating newby questions

robyn,
welcome to the forum. ext tubes are for macro only.. what you will need is a telephoto lens. ck out the pentax 50-100mm zoom. the kit lens ,18-55mm, will also work well for pet pictures. this was taken with the kit lens at 55mm.
