"The K10D body will ship by November 2006 for US $899.95, and as a kit with the DA 18-55mm lens for $999.95. "

I'm glad I finally got to see this. I was really nervous about ordering a K100D until I saw some real information on the K10D. Now I can order the K100D with confidence. I wouldn't want to wait another 2 months and the kit price is $400 more. I'm sure it's worth every dime, but that puts it WAY out of my budget.

Boys and girls, I think we're in for one helluva camera. Might just sell my Nikon gear and go Pentax, if the reviews are right.I am very excited about this camera as I'm sure many of you are.It seems to offer best bang for the buck gor budget-aware enthusiasts. Hope Pentax will manage to make this release available to the masses.

Up till now, 2006 sure has been the year of the 10 megapixel, as far as dSLRs are concerned.

Outstandingrelease, Pentax!!! Sure hope the K10 delivers the goods. If that happens, I'm officially a Pentax-man.

But there is NO lens in the photo! How can one manage to take even a picture in the heavy rain without a weather sealed lens? :-)

Just curious why you need to switch? What Nikon gear do you have now?

Pentax had got a bad record regarding delivery: the old *ist D has delayed for half year and now that the K100D has been out-of-stock in many shops (maybe it sells so good or just the supplies are really rare). Good luck!

Well, btw, I was able to get a very first unit of K100D from the very first batch on the 1st of August and also did a full review (actually a full measurbation test) on it, too:-
