Cranefly huh? I don't think I have ever seen anything like it on this side of the pond. Looks like someone crossed a dragonfly with a daddy longlegs spider. Grasses are so varied it is hard to tell the scale, how big is it?

Only a young one, about 1" long. They tend to "float" about and can be annoying, though harmless.

Full grown they are about 1.5"-2" long.

Popular name over here is Daddy Long Legs.
