Hi all,

I've lost the eyecup from my Pentax *istDL. Does anyone know where I might order one? So far I've had no luck. I did send an E. Mail to Pentax but haven't heard back yet.

Thanks

I lost mine too, and called the support number.

They took my order and said they would ship it out next week - about $25 with shipping.

However, it has been 3 weeks and I don't have it yet; But still, I'd give it a shot.

I recall somebody in this forum confirmed that Nikon DK-21M eyepiece also fits Pentax DL . That one is available at B&H around $20. If you are located in thew US or better still in New York, you can try. That is a magnifier as well.

I contacted Ritz Camera last evening and they gave me a phone number for Pentax. I will give this a try Monday morning. Wish me luck.

FYI - Just ordered the DL Eyecup from Pentax, It's not on their web site but is available with a phone call. The unfortunate part of this is it's back ordered. I can wait.

The lady I talked with said there is only a hand full of orders for the Eyecup at this time and when received it should be no problem getting the order out to customers. As for a time she couldn't say …. Bummer. Again I will wait.

There are two possible solutions: (1) Delkin.com has a combination LCD shade/eyepiece replacement for the DS that both Tom and I use. (2) I have a spare DS eyepiece if that will help. Here is a photo of that Delkin LCD shade.

I have the same Delkin shade that Sarah has and I really like it. It keeps the screen clean and makes it very easy to read the screen in bright sun light.
