Here is my first ever attempt at catching a spider. I was lucky. I used the kit lens and got within about a foot from the thing. The red background happens to be my car. The image was cropped, tweaked a bit (for underexposure), sharpened and resized to fit the forum requirements.

Nice macro! everytime that I try to get a spider, they run off before I can get focused.:sad::sad::sad:Oh well, someday, if I ever start to live right:G:G

Very interesting capture with him (or her) wrapping up his prey. Kind of makes you think of Frodo and the spider in Lord of the Rings.
