yes roy.. i tried several techniques for B&W conversion namely the lab color, n channel mixer technique.. both have their own pros n cons.. btw, if u dont mind, i borrowed your idea for my avatar.. :-)

I second mtngal on the last pic. I think what hits me is a combination of effects: the dip motion, swaying of the hair, natural enjoyment of the subjects (look like both women), and the tilting of the composition to line up with what is vertical for the dipper. That tilt aspect makes it feel like the viewer is partaking in the action without being disoriented. Nice!
