here's another of the ant type creature. these look like a wingless wasp. they're almost metallic

I love those shots Roy. I really like howdeep the DOF is on the grasshopper (I see you used f16). There is no EXIF on the shots of the spider's lunch, could you tell me your settings on that? Are you using a ring flash with these? When I try for f16 with the on board flash and the 105mm Kiron the pics generallyare under exposed.

i'm pretty sure all these were 1/350 f16 at 1:1. i was using the sigma super on the camera with the onboard difusser used. i know the onboard flash will not work using thevivitar at 1:1. the lens gets in the way of the flash path.
