Work has had me buried. I finally got out Saturday morning. First really cool morning we've had. I found this guy waiting to dry out and warm up before take off.

Brrrrr... Is that guy still alive? Nice shot.

We should have had the first frost here also, but it's still summer. Weirdo... but nice!

I don't think I have ever seen a butterfly with frost on it, nice shot.

Sorry guys, but its dew not frost. Now it was cool this weekend, but not cold. This is Georgia. We only got down to about 50 degrees F.

I've never seen a butterfly with dew on it, so I really find it fascinating. And it's another one of those really cool buttterfly pictures that seem to escape me - love it.

Thanks for all the comments. This was a first for me. I just happened to be headed back to to the camp site and looked over and saw this one. Hopefully, I'll get back out this coming weekend and see what shows up.

Jim,
Nice shot and a very interesting subject. As a self respecting southerner I knew it was dew (though it did kind of look like frost)..

You too, mtgal? The little jokers will just never land anywhere near me and if they do land it is just to tease me before they take off as I am trying to get focus. But I am going to fix them . . . next time I am going out with my camera AND a shotgun. Lets see the little buggers try their tricks then! erm, I mean, I too find them to be a challenging subject. Time to go take my meds. :G.
