Made a quick trip to Paris, Ontario on Friday - about 3.5 hrs drive.

Nice little quaint town. For those who know Wayne Gretsky #99, it is where his mom (may she rest in peace)was from.

Nice shot. It looks like many areas here in Pennsylvania.

Too bad about the sky. If you could keep some detail in it, it would be perfect. I love the paris00 shot. Is it cropped or a pana? Paris06 would be great as a large print. Paris06 is very nice also.

First the beaver shots, and now a trip to Paris. Someone is pulling my leg here. Is the river called Seine, too?:-)

But cheated or not, I think the pics are nice. I also like paris00 a lot.

In the town I work there is a residential area named Palestine, and out of town is a village called Transvaal. No idea how they got their names. Not very exciting places though, none of them.

Beaver shots weren't mine, I think it was Ira - lol. The river is the Grande.

00 is a crop and you're right about the sky, but that's the way it turned out. Like I said it was strange weather.

Because many of Canada's early settlers came from Europe you will find many towns here with names like Essex, Middlesex, Holland, Windsor, Paris, London, Chatam, etc. There is however a Scandinavia in Maitoba and a Stockholm in Saskatchewan since most of the Swedes settled out west.

And BTW thanks for the comments.
