I used my *istDS with standard 18-55 lens. Hope you like it, near Picton on the South Island of New Zealand. Resized to 35% but absolutely no other changes.

Gee John, give us a chance! I like it a lot, nice color and the combination of the cows in the foreground and the mountains in the background create a lot of interest for the eye. Very nice job.

Errr, sorry Tim, guess I was getting a bit anxious. Understandable I think considering the very high quality, both technically and artistically I frequently see posted on this forum.

I like it, and the landscape sure is more exciteing than the flatlands around here. Is the green really that light green, or is the pic a tad overexposed? Or is it my monitor?

Yes, the green really is green like that, at least to my eyes with my monitor!I agree it does look overexposed a little though I can hardly judge andI let the camera handle all that technical stuff!

The weather was overcast and quite misty back where those hills are, they should be pine-tree green too.

I did not try to tweak it at all in Paint Shop (which I have) and any time I have tried to tweak any of my pictures in the past has been a dismal failure! Any advice on how to tweak this image gratefully accepted, I have it in RAW.

New Zealand is other worldly, beautiful. Composition remnds of something the great, English water colour painter, Constable would of done, if he had ever been in N.Z.
