It is big for a Pentax but not for a Nikon or Canon upper lever DSLR.

Looks like one BIG camera!
Yes it does. Between it's apparent size/weight and it's price, I am soooo glad I got the K100D instead. I'm sure the K10D is an amazing camera, but the K100D suits me much better.
I must confess I am still leaning towards getting the K100D in about 3-4 months when the prices have settled. Gives me a 2nd body to go with the DL2, plus the other half is keen to try a SLR (well I am slowly convincing her that she is!!)

If the K10D is as fast as the Samsung version like this, then I will be happy.

Your constant diatribes about Pentax cameras are tiresome. Why you persist in buying them then 'analyzing' them down to their molecular structure is beyond comprehension.

i think the k10 competes against d200 and 20d/30d. comparing to those two, the size/weight of the k10 are relatively smaller and (most important) at a much lesser price. unbeatable? perhaps, with good publicity and those factories running at 200% capacity. as things look now, pentax' biggest concerns should be convincing people that not only canikon make (topofthebunch) dslrs. if that's covered, the k10 should provide pentax with key to the gate of a new era. k1d? why stop there...
