The leaves are turning fast and are loosing their color, but some are still nice.

There is still color around the lake.

Good test for my camouflage outfit, since this was taken with my 28-70mm @ 70mm full frame with no crop. They knew something was there, as I was sitting in the open, with my back against a tree about 10 feet away, but they couldn't figure out what was up.

How beautiful! I don't have a favorite - they are all nice. Sure wish I were there - your pictures always make things look so real- like I'm there instead of looking at them on my computer screen.

I don't think it's your camou outfit, Tom. I don't think "Tom" is your real name, I think you are Dr Dolittle! (I have bought a camo outfit myself, though. I'll take a Linguaphone course as well.)

The lake pic is Nat Geo quality!

Beautiful work Tom, the colours are amazing to my eyes as we have very few deciduous forests in this country. Plus I am more accustomed to seeing deer behind a wire fence.

Beautiful images Tom. Your nature photography is well beyond my skills, keep it up.

Thanks everyone, I only took one lens with me, so I had to make due with what I had and could concentrate on the image, not the equipment.

This sure is a beautiful time of the year.

I agree with Kjell, in respect to both the quality of the lake picture and the suspicion that you can talk to the animals. Those are all really great shots Tom.

Indeed it is a beautiful time of year. Very nice photos. I am impatiently waiting for the leaves to start changing down here.

It's amazing how close deer will get to you if you a very still. So did they spook with the shutter?

As we have a rather weird fall here (more like August now) I found some rather interesting gradations of seasons some days ago. A quick snap of spring-to-autumn feeling:

OK, the composition and background are awful but I liked the colors... :-)

Best, JR
