Because the rebate offer is expirng in the next few days I plan on buying most likely the following four lenses:
SMCP-FA 77mm f/1.8
SMCP-FA 43mm f/1.9
SMCP-FA 31mm f/1.8 AL
SMC P-DA Fish-Eye 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 ED

Should I buy these or are there some other lenses I might be better served with purchasing? I want the limiteds so I don't miss out on being able to buy them. Thanks

SMCP-FA 31mm f/1.8 AL-------------------------$879.95

I have no way of knowing this, but I suspect Pentax will come up with a new rebate program after this one expires on the 11th. They did last July and I am sure this has been very successful for them. With all the new people buying Pentax cameras this Fall and Winter, I'm sure they don't want to see them buy non-Pentax lenses for them, plus they are opening there new lens plant in Vietnam this month.

It seems like Ebay is getting pretty high or the quality lenses are getting pretty thin. I noticed a Pentax-A 50mm f1.4 that wentfor $169 last night.I think you can get a brand new FA with the rebate forthator less at Adorama or B&H- Bruce

If you can afford these then go for it. These are among the best lenses available anywhere, on par with Leica and Zeiss lenses. No one else builds a fish-eye zoom and the Limiteds are easily a match for Canon L glass or the best from Nikon.

Post some images if you get them.

Oh yeah I've noticed that too. Heck, used FA's are going for prices close to or over what a NEW one would cost. I wish I had picked up this hobby a year ago, before the prices went through the roof!

If you can afford all these lenses, go for it, but you probably don't need the rebates. Maybe a zoom lens would cover the range you plan on buying?
