This morning I felt it might be rewarding to bring the camera to work. I think the effort payed off. This is the spot I often stay at to admire the fog or the early morning light. This morning was spectacular! A few minutes between these shots. First one with kit lens 16-45, second with A* 85 mm. Unfortunately they do loose quite a lot of contrast and vibrance when converted.

And on my way home I stopped at another spot to shoot this. Also A* 85 mm. The trees should be naked by now, but it still looks like summer. The leaves fall one by one, so there are no niceautumn colours.

Thanks for looking

Kjell

Like all 3 of these very much. The first 2 though...excellent.

Seen paintings/prints for sale which are not as good as these.

Great photos! Doesn't hurt to be using a fantastic lens like the A* 85 either.

Kjell, all excellent as usual. If I had to pick a favorite it would be #2, I love that sunrise.

The colors are fabulous in the two sunrise photos - really love them. Like the lighting on the trees, too, but the sunrise pictures are exceptional.

I've also found that sunrise colors (oranges and so on) don't handle compression well at all. What's an awesome picture in CS2 looks very pale when compressed for the internet. Since these are as beautiful as they are, the originals have to be outstanding!

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone.

No, Tom, using the A*85mm never hurts. And it's never hurt either. In my younger days, when I didn't realise what lens I actually owned, I wasn't careful at all with it. But it didn't just survive, it still works as on day one. That's quality for sure!

To everyone: If you once in your life gets the permission from your other half to buy an expensive lens, look for this one! (and of course the A/FA*200 mm 2.8 and the *F/FA 300 mm 4.5 and the... My goal is to get ALL the *-lenses, I opt for a loooong life:-))
