This whole idea is wonderful, better than I had thought when it was brought up. I have a cold so stayed home from work today. That gave me a chance to take a walk around my neighborhood, while thinking of something specific. No rush, just looking around at what was there within a couple of blocks from my house. Autumn has definitely arrived in the SoCal mountains.

#2.

I've been feeling a little frustrated recently with photography in general, but I was pleased with what I took today - it pays to take your time and think about what you are doing. And having an interesting theme helped to focus things for me. Thanks for setting this up!

There were about 7 that I really liked, but I'm going to save my third picture for the month ofOctoberfor later. Never know what I'll take tomorrow.

Spiribro77 nice one, it looks almost the same as a place very nearby the Belgian border not far from here. But it isn't , is it :-)

PDL like the "red one"very much, but I miss the leaf2, number 4 and the alst one, they only show a red cross. Can you try to upload them again?

Mntgal, your second one, red leaves against a blue sky is a winner ! But that's my opinion of course.

Richard.

I should have been keeping up with the PS dSLR posts. I've beenreading and posting to the "weekly challenges" on the main board and, hadn't had time to come over here. These are all beautiful photos I've missed. I won't stray any more.

Here is one I just posted on that board. The challenge was repetition. And, my living in New England and all it included the fall colors so it fits our category this month.

Found these oak leaves on a tiny oak tree at The Ney Center in Henderson, MN. I've never seen such intense reds before

Great, great shots!

I particularly like the one below; (It was posted in this thread earlier)>>>

http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/a...t.php?id=80756

I like the bokeh of the shot a lot.

Regards.

There are also some really great shots around in here. All in all, all the shot are great!

I agree, this shot has a very three dimensional look to it.
