Was at a Fall/Halloween gathering at a horse farm last night. Here are 2 images of the bonfire (very inviting on a cool October night). Images shot in RAW; 28-80mm Pentax lens. Hand held with no SR (Alas all I have is a DL) at ISO 800. I like image #1 over 2...any thoughts? Jay

I like #1 better as well. The fire in #1 has more different tongues and a more varied shape.

I like the first one better also- I noticed that the shutter speed was quite a bit faster, so it stopped the action more. My preference with mostfire pictures is as close to stop action as you can manage (easier said than done). The third one you posted is quite nice, too.
