New "The Essential Holiday System Rebate"

November 9 through January 9, 2007

Offer OPNT00012 adds K100D and AF-360FGZ @ $100.00 to the October listing.

I was looking at the web rebates last week late at night and this one popped up. I did a download and my computer said I already had it . I closed and went to bed.

Next morning I checked my downloads and the one I had was the Oct - Jan rebate. Went back to the web and could not find the Nov - Jan list. Looked for 2 days and sent an e-mail to Pentax. Have not received a reply to date.

Today, while at the camera store, I mentioned this to the clerk. He said he had not heard about this. He tried to get to Pentax on the web with no luck. About 15 min later he tried again and printed out the Nov 9 to Jan 9, 2007 form. Just as I remembered. I haven't seen it on the web but Adorama mentioned it. When I downloaded the form it was still the Oct - Jan form.

Just a FYI

Nick

Just tried the link in the original post ... worked fine:

Too bad it's only good in the States :-(

Cheers, Mike

Of course only in the states. Other countries foot this bill. Not too bitter, but over here we have a higher price to start with and no rebates. In the states it is lower price and rebates on top.

That link brings up rebate OPNT00011 Oct to Jan.

Thenew one was up only a short time and is OPNT00012 and adds :

"K100D/K110D and a AF-360FGZ Flash $100.00" as the first item.

Valid November 9, 2006 through January 9, 2007.

These rebates are probably to under-cut the "grey market" imports.

Don't know if the UK permits "grey market" imports. It has been quite a while since I went to school in England and things were quit tight then.

Well see if the new rebate is out tomorrow. Cheers, Nick

that 50 f1.4 is such a good buy. It ought to just be used as a kit lens.

Good call by flabuckeye. The rebate is new today.

$25 for the flash, $50 for a K100D or K110D, or $100 for both. Plus the usual long list of lens rebates. (Let's hope the 50mm 1.4 starts appearing again soon, I'm itching for one!) By my math, that means that your cost buying from Beach would be $421.89 for the K110D and $529.89 for the K100D, both with kit lens.

Verrrrrrrry tempting... I wonder what my DL would fetch on eBay.

Body only, that's only $350 after rebate for the K110D, at Beach, Buydig, Butterfly....

Of course the kit lens is worth the extra $70.
