Anyone try it?

According to the white paper the K100 is not listed with a disclaimer that just because your camera is not listed does not necessarily mean it isn't supported!
Thought I would check first before downloading it myself....

Thanks in advance!

Didn't work for me and my DL2 when I last tried it.

Hi

No Pentax camera listed in Microsoft Raw Viewer, so I downloaded a trail copy of DPmagic. Seems to work Ok with the DL2, could be useful, cheap enough.

I sent a request to both Microsoft and Pentax about support for the PEF format - Pentax never answered. Microsoft said that the *ist Ds was not out by the time the program was released (not true). I read in the MS image forum that only Canon and Nikon RAW formats were supported. Since it's release in January MS has not updates its dll for supporting RAW. For the next release of their photo-suite MS has not released information about RAW support - if any beyond Canon and Nikon. In their XP "professional photographer support" site - the consultants talk about using PhotoShop.

guess they are going to give up.

Pentax did not answer the question about whether PEF files will ever be included in MS RAW viewers but, they did answer my question about SDHC cards. They stated that there were no plans to update the *ist Ds firmware to allow SDHC compatability.

Two weeks later they came out with firmware v2.01 that allows for SDHC use. It appears that even Pentax does not know what their devices are truely capable of.

Back on subject - It looks like MS is only supporting Canon and Nikon in its RAW viewers - and - if you go out to their "pro-photography" section, all the examples use PhotoShop.

As I said before - they have given up.
