It appears that fall is the time that a young Florida bug's thoughts turn to love. These were taken Saturday morning when I was supposed to be mowing the yard. First up, two damsel flies on a single blade of grass:

Two flies. This is almost a 75% crop. I had one shot that caught another fly zooming in to try to break in on the action.

Excellent shots - the detail is truly superb.

Everytime I think I am getting close, someone posts something that blows mine away.

Think I need more practice and more patience!

Thankfully, these sort of shots inspire me to try harder.

Thanks for the comments guys. Roy, yes, it is quite a lens. I just watched one go for only $104 on ebay this past weekend. That guy got a steal.
