went out to the pelican place today and they were on land. they let me approach to within 20-25 feet. these are shot with the 300 at f4 or f8. ihadn't gotten the TC at the time or i would have tested it.

I particularly like the composition of the second one with the Pelicans all in a row.

me too. it moved as i pressed the button . otherwise they would have all been facing forward..

Second one is only slightly my favorite. The amount of detail with the whitefeathers, especially in the third oneis really impressive.
