That is major poopoo. Apparently the award goes to K10D. But that is not out yet or at least the firmware has not been finalised

Well they changed the name to the K100D, but left the sensor size of the K10D in the article.

I may be wrong in my last post. It seems that the award goes to K100D . Everything is correct (heading , pict & first para.) except the feature listed in the 2nd para.

[The Pentax K100D features 10.2 effective megapixels, plus a Pentax-developed Shake Reduction (SR) system, a weather-resistant body, a dust reduction system, and a newly-developed Pentax Real IMage Engine.]

The award cannot be given to K10D yet which is still not in the market so far. If so, the award goes to some advertised data?

If you use google news and do a search on K10D you will find that it was the K10D that got the innovation award....

Well, I may correct myself as they are not the only folks who got it wrong (or right?)

Looks like a very useless and weird contest to me: http://cesweb.org/attendees/awards/i...p?category=108

The K10D is between the nominations, yet it isnt even out yet.

Also seems they chose the Kodak dual lens camera as the best, while it's performance leaves a lot more to be desired than the other compacts on the market. The only thing it has is a "cool design".
