Hi All,

One of my all-time favorites -- I played a little with focus point and came up with some interesting effects (at least interesting to me:O).

This one is focused on the beak. I like the "messy" feathers around the beak, so tried to emphasize them -- makes for a "serious and predatory" look. The eyes, though a little out of the in-focus range, are still intense:



A*200/2.8, AF360FGZ, ISO 200, 1/180, f4.5

I stepped back a little, and focused on those intense eyes. The result is that he looks a little goofy and shmoo-like, the beak getting somewhat flattened and lost in the feathers:

I thought that the effect was pretty interesting.


The Aussies are lucky -- they have the coolest birds and animals . . .
