Forgive my stupidity, but how do you post a pic directly in this forum? I am aware of posting a link to another site, but can't figure out how to do the aforementioned.

Thanks in advance!

Use an image host like imagesocket.com, and use the insert image button up the top or you may or may not be able to enclose it in [ img ] [ / img ] tags

Firstly, image size & resolution needs to adjusted - 700 pixels wide is nominally about right so as to keep it viewable at an image size of not greater that 250kBytes - there are a number of graphics packages that will do this including Irfanview.

1. The image can then be attached to the post using the 'Browse' function to locate it - if its greater than 250kBytes, then not only will you be prevented from uploading it, you'll loose the post as well - SO KEEP A COPY to avoid loosing it.

This method keeps a track of the number of views that the image has received.

2. You can alsohost the image, as previously mentioned by errno_gmm, at somewhere like http://www.imagesocket.com/& use the 'insert image functionin the menu bar to locate the image i.e. http://imagesocket.com/images/IMGP6507_DCE07a.jpg.

This method DOES NOT keep a track of the number of views that the image has received.

3.Also if the code isinserted then the image can also be loaded directly onto the page.
