Russ - What I'm doing is turning off all but 3 of the modules. I put the tone and other settings module on the right below the main program module. I then have the left half of the screen which I put the preview module on. I like alarge preview, so I make it as big as I can by pulling on the side and top with the mouse with a picture loaded. It almost fills my screen, so I then move it to the left just so it is off the other modules. Then I do my conversion adjustments and can pull the preview module to the right any time I want to see how I like what I did. I find it much easier for me to look at a big preview then the small default one. I also use the magnify tool if I want to look at a certain part in detail.
I don't try to crop or resize in PPL. I just save it to 8 bit tiff when I have the adjustments made and use Irfanview to crop and resize, along with the final sharpening before I save it as a jpeg. You're right, if you try to have all 6 modules open at once, your've got a mess. I just have open what I need to work with. The final results can be very good in PPL once you get use to the weird interface. I usedV2.1 quite a bit last Spring, but am justtrying V3.0. I then used Silkypix V2.0, but don't like there V3.0. To each his own I guess- Bruce
