Is the Vivitar 70-210mm APO series 1 lense any good?

yes,
i have one. mine was made by komine, one of the better producers if not the best. mine is the non-A f2.8-4. it's not quite as good as the smcA70-200 f4 but few lenses are. it's a little light and quite fast at 70mm. it also does not have anywhere near the zoom creep as the pentax. my copy looks to be right off the shop shelf. there are 5 models of this lens. i think the last 2 are made by cosina and i've read they are not as good. however sarah(mtnclimer) has one of these and the shots i've seen her post are outstanding. i'd say a good buy if you pay under 90usd.
