not that i plan to shoot pictures at iso 1600, but since some of you wanted a sample of iso 1600, here is a random one i just took so you all can see.

Thanks for posting the pictures. What lenses did you use? The 1600 picture does have quite a bit of noise. It seems underexposed to me, and I always get more noise when I underexpose with either K100D or DS. The shepherd isa very nice picture - looks like your camera will do well for what you want it to do.

Honestly, while the the ISO1600 picture is very grainy, It doesn't look any more grainy than an underexposed ISO1600 film shot would.
