you forgot that Pentax is no good for action shots, you shouldn't even try that .

apart from that they are great.

Having performed well with the birds, I wanted to see how the sigma 70-300 apo dg performed for sports photography. I headed out to Huntington beach to catch some surfers at play. When I got to the beach, the lighting condition was overcast and dim, but the swells were rolling in strong and plenty.

Great shots and catch. It was probably cloudy but bright judging from that you were taking Tv=1/1500, Av=8.

I like the first one which I believe you are most happy about it too. I am suprised with the lens performance at its extreme end too. Thanks for sharing.

The 1st and 6th one are absolutely great! Again this is breaking the myth that Pentax can't be used for action shots

Of course it can't, I've read that in reviews! In spite of that, I agree with TDN, these photos are great. :|Did you tell your Pentax it's a Canon? Or did you deep-freeze the ocean? It simply cant' be the camera being of any use.

Still, only photographers take photos, not cameras. These were taken by a good photographer, assisted by good equipment!

As everyone else has said, great shots Royce. I love the different expressions you captured on each subject while they were oblivious to the camera. Next time you should take a lap top and make some extra cash taking orders for prints from the surfers!
