Ian Mc, Thanks for viewing and the comments. I have a Tamron AF 28-300mm lens ordered. Also have some older Canon and Sigma lens from the film days. If the Tamron lens works out will probably use that as my primary. Jim

Good morning Roger! I think you will be very happy with the K10D. The only think I miss from the FZ30 is the fold out LCD ! Jim

Great shots tiger, loved all your pictures you posted on the pana forum, and these already look great to me.

I still have to wait till christmass before my k10d arives, hate myself about telling my wife it would be a super great christmass present.

like nr1 the best - Ronny

I'm surprised that anyone from the Panasonic board would remember me, I didn't hang around long- the FZ30 just wasn't the camera for me. I bought a Pentax DS and think it was the best decision I ever made.

The folks here are as friendly and helpful as everyone on the Panny board - I can't believe how much I've learned sincejumping on here to ask how to make manual K-mount lenses work with the DS. Don't hesitate to ask, someone here will have the answer.

Welcome, Jim. You're new to the K10D, but your posted pictures clearly show that you're no newbie to photography. Very nice shots!

Hi Jim,

Ditto with me too
Apparently Panasonic forums loss is our gain.
