Very nice shots. However... Is there any difference in using the K10D over the DS/DL/K100?

So far it seems to me that although it is a good new camera, there is no real world difference between the cheaper ones and the new dearer one.

The picture quality seems to be down to the person behind the camera. Look at Roys posts, or Hogriders.

Anyone know anything different?

Reason being is I have the DL2 and was looking at the K100D (for shake reduction) £450 or the K10D (just because it is the current top of the range) £700. However the other half pointed out that it is the photographer not the equipment which makes the picture (and we have a wedding/honeymoon to pay for in September.

Hi Jim, since I also am going to be a K10D owner I have a question. Does all the stuff you learned with the FZ30 help you with your K10D.

Looks like a lot of panasonic owners are changing to the K10D.

Thanks Darren. Can't answer your question as I've never used the cameras you mentioned. I do agree that the photographer does make a big difference! Jim

Roger, I feel that experience with any camera will help with the K10D, however I think the FZ30 was especially helpful because of it's size and features. Jim

Number 2 is my favorite. Lots of color! That certainly is a case of being in the right place at the right time.
