just spent 30 minutes googling it.

I didnt hesitate and went for it. This seems to be very nice glass, even among the demanding N* users
The actual results will have to wait until I pick it up myself of course...

You won't regret the decision, but if you don't want it - :blah:you can sell it to me for 80 Dollars - LOL
I'll make it 90 dollars! Just kidding - you will not regret this purchase - one of the true gems out there in this size, and the build quality is sturdy and superb. Will be expecting some shots.

That lens is actually an "A" version. That model only came for KA mount....

Just a quick, somewhat related question:

As you know, when using the flash with a manual lense with no A setting (ie M 50mm 1.7) the flash fires at full strength and is difficult to control. When using an A lense are you able to control the power of the flash?

Thanks

when using A lens in either Av or Tv mode flash works in PTTL mode, no problems with exposure. in M mode it always fires full strenght (I think so, check in manual about that)

Well, I just got it.

It's in worse condition that I thought on the outside, but the optics & aperture are fine.

Tomorrow I'll do some real shots, but I couldnt resist taking a few test shots just now

This one shows how thin the dof is at f2.8

Can anyone guess what it is? I'll give you a hint, it's about 1 cm wide.

TDN - Can you verify for me that your lens does have an "A" setting.

Thanks!
