great shots, especially with such low f number.

is the last one full frame or cropped? if full frame you can get really close with that lens.

well no bugs or flowers for us at this time of the year, I have to wait till spring.

Thanks for all the comments, I am glad to contribute to this forum.

All pictures are more or less cropped. I posted a full size of the Unknown Bug for size comparison. This is straight out of the camera - converted with Silkypix (so of course it has been a little adjusted during the conversion from PEF). It is a 100% crop. The lens goes 1:1 but I don't remember if I was at the closest distance when I took this photo.

EXIF:

[*]Camera make: PENTAX Corporation [/*][*]Camera model: PENTAX *ist DS [/*][*]Date/Time: 2006:10:25 10:59:32 [/*][*]Resolution: 600 x 499 [/*][*]Flash used: No [/*][*]Focal length: 105.0mm [/*][*]Exposure time: 0.0029 s (1/350) [/*][*]Aperture: f/8.0 [/*][*]ISO equiv.: 200 [/*][*]Metering Mode: matrix **** [/*][*]Exposure: Manual

[/*][*]**** That's BS becaue the camera switches to Center weighted mode with Manual lenses.

Wonderful photos - love the 100% crop, too.
