I thought the manual said that you could put 1 more shoton a card witheither PEF or DNG, but I went back and looked and can't find it (must be dreaming). I've been using DNGand the files run over 16mb, while the only two PEF files were over 10-11, so it looks like DNG is bigger than PEF. Don't know if I'll change to PEF once ACR can understand them - I've been saving my pictures as DNG anyway.

DNG converter doesn't understand the K10 either, so I haven't tried it yet. As far as the K100 goes, PEF is around 10 mb, while DNG is around 6,000, smaller than the PEF. Looks like Pentax is doing some type of compression for their PEF files, since the K10 PEF files are smaller than the in-camera DNG files. I'll be glad when Adobe adds the K10 to their software (I'll also be glad when Adobe comes out with Lightroom, really like it and I'll buy if its not too expensive).
