i have to agree
the gull one is exceptional
great timing as well as exposure

i always under expose a bit and white birds i underexpose a bit extra
shooting in raw sure helps
using spot metering too

royce,
in the ''playback'' menu, do you have the ''bright'' set to playback? i have mine set to review and playback. it shows you with flashing black the white areas that are blown. it's helped me a lot when taking white bird shots.. not that i ever get the chance to take any. i found a new spot and am on my way.
