I notice a tad of shake blur, shouldn't you have bought a K100D instead?:-)

Serious, did you use a tripod with a ball head or was it handheld? Beautiful result, anyway!

lets zoom while we take the exposure. i haven't done that for at least 20+ years. very nice ira.

Not zoom but rotation, rotated the camera while taking a fairly long exposure. A tripod would have made the arcs smoother so I will try it next time.

How about others contributing some Christmas tree pictures.

Great idea, but I'll have to wait until Christmas - we didn't bother putting up a tree because we won't be here for the holiday. However, I may try my hand at outdoor lights this evening (if it warms up to something close to freezing this evening- all you who live where it never gets above 25 over the winter have my sympathy).

Great tree, Ira! We just finished putting up our tree Saturday. This one is with my DS2 and 18-55 kit lens, very out of focus. (Nice bokeh!)
