Of course we have- but we here in far North are rather conservative so the main Christmas "events" start after the Eve- and hope to capture the real HOLIDAY then :-)

Best and merry Christmas and a happy New Year for all!, JR

OK, here is one more for the collection. Sigma 70-300 at macro setting.

very nice, but how come you're not in this photo? whole room can be seen in this bulb but you're not there.

Greg, I wanted to stay out of sight to avoid being in the picture, so here's how I did it: I used my Sigma 70-300 mm at 300 mm which enabled me to get as far away from the bulb as possible. If you look closely by the couch (settee) in the back of the room, you will notice the tripod and camera. I was concealed behind the couch with a corded remote! Secret's out...Merry Chtistmas!! Jay

Wow! I'm certainly impressed with this one, not only the quality of the picture, but the imaginative way you did it, without having the camera be intrusive in the picture. Love this one!

Hello, all,

This is my first post in these forums. I have been the proud owner of a K110D for about two weeks. This is a shot from last weekend. First night shots. It was resized for another forum. Otherwise, straight out of the camera.

OK, I was looking for a way to do a macro Christmas shot but not copy what had been done before. Today, as we celebrated Christmas with my parents, I found that one of their bushes was covered with aphids and was swarmed by yellowjackets, ladybugs, and other assorted insects. So this is my macro Christmas entry:
