the newer cams let you preview the image first on the rear screen. i have the my DS to flash areas that are over exposed.. does the preview show this??

so if you select to preview before you take the shot, the preview screen will flash blk over the blown hi-lites???

The K100 links the instant review with the digital review for this purpose, so yes, you can turn on the overexposed area warning with the digital review. I believe the K10 doesn't link them so you can turn one or the other on separately.

yes, it's an option you can set in the custom menu. I chose to have my preview on there for 3 seconds, with the highlight blinking. Gives me enough time to delete it before it goes ot the card if it's useless...

Hi Roy,

if You asked about K10D "digital preview" which was previously intended for DOF preview on LCD then YES, with K10D You can get dark/bright warning (yellow/red flashing areas) plus two kinds of histogram- luma and RGB (3 ones) if desired plus You can zoom in and move around in non-saved preview image :-)
