Ouch! From the sounds of it, you are probably lucky to escape without damage to the camera. Tough break on the lens, though.

I once had a Ricoh lens stuck on my DS. The feeler gauge came in real handy. Took a while, but eventualy was able to slide it under the pin and the lens came off. Then I dissasembled the lens and removed the pin. Still have the lens and it works just fine.

Dont worry guys you may be assured I tried the feeler gauge. However the lens was nearly home and there not even room for my thinest gauge between the two flanges.

Hi John

If it's any consolation I have been using a Cosina 70/210 with the K10D and it gets jammed in the macro mode when autofocussing.

Still awaiting my Tamron 70/300 Macro so hopefully no probs with that.

Morale: Beware of Cosina lenses with the digital Pentax SLRs unless your happy with a horrible grinding sound when itgets locked in macro.

Can actually fix this temporarily by switching off camera manhanling lens to infinity then switching it on again !!!

Cheers :Ian Mc

Thanks Roy, I have another 75-200 4.5 which is another rescued lens. It came up quite nicely. Thanks for the offer though.
